12 guests maximum per boat. The captain and crew do not count toward your total. Charter both yachts together for larger groups.
Yes. These are recreational (bareboat) rentals, so per U.S. Coast Guard rules you hire your own certified captain. We can't book one for you, but we'll share plenty of trusted Chicago captain contacts. Estimated rate is ~$125/hr, paid directly to the captain, plus a customary ~20% gratuity on the boat rental charge.
Food, drinks, utensils, decorations, and coolers are all welcome. Alcohol is allowed — just note that heavy cleaning from stains could affect your security deposit.
Absolutely. Each boat has a Bluetooth speaker system you can connect to.
We go out in the rain! Your hired captain decides whether conditions are chartable. If the weather isn't safe, we'll do our best to postpone or reschedule your charter.

Lakeshore Aquatic Charters is a family-owned yacht charter company on Lake Michigan, operating from Belmont Harbor in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. We offer private bareboat charters on two 37-foot Four Winns yachts — Vera and Vista — each accommodating up to 12 guests, at rates from $250–$350/hr. Our season runs May through October.
We moved to Chicago in 2013 and never looked back. The first time we saw the city from the water, we fell for it all over again.
